• Profile data: Biodata information you voluntarily provide (age, education, profession, family details, photos)
• Usage data: Profiles viewed, messages sent, features used
• Device data: Device token for push notifications (FCM)

2. How We Use Your Data / डेटा का उपयोग

• To provide and improve the matrimony service
• To show your profile to other members of your community
• To send notifications about profile activity and matches
• To enforce safety and prevent abuse

3. Data Sharing / डेटा साझाकरण

Your profile is visible to logged-in members of your community only. Your phone number is not shared publicly by default — it is only shown to users whose contact request you explicitly accept. We may disclose information if required by law or legal process.

4. Your Rights / आपके अधिकार

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act), you have the right to:

• Access: Download all data we hold about you (Settings → Download My Data)
• Correction: Update your information at any time via the app
• Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data (Settings → Delete Account)
• Withdrawal: Withdraw consent by deleting your account

5. Data Retention / डेटा प्रतिधारण

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all your personal data, biodatas, photos, and messages are permanently deleted within 30 days.

6. Security / सुरक्षा

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure authentication (email OTP, phone OTP + PIN), and access controls. However, no system is 100% secure — we encourage you to use a strong password and protect your account credentials.

7. Cookies & Local Storage

We store your authentication token and language preference in your browser’s local storage. No third-party tracking cookies are used.

8. Children / बच्चे

This platform is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be notified via in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
